رتّل — شزام للقرآن الكريم

Rattel ("رتّل") is "Shazam for the Quran." Send it a short clip of any Quran recitation — audio or video — and within about 20 seconds it tells you who is reciting, which surah, and the exact ayah number, along with the verse text.

Two Things at Once:
Rattel is the first system to combine reciter identification and ayah localization in a single step. It supports 50 reciters — including young Haramain imams you won't find in any other app.

Reciter Identification (50 reciters)

• A 240-dimension voice embedding is extracted with an ECAPA-TDNN model (SpeechBrain, pre-trained on VoxCeleb)
• A small custom MLP classifier, trained on 3,659 clips across 50 reciters, makes the call
• Final validation accuracy: 99.1% — and the trained model is only about 245 KB

Ayah and Surah Identification

• Transcribe-then-match, instead of direct audio matching
• OpenAI Whisper Large v3 (via the Hugging Face Inference API) transcribes the Arabic at roughly 10% WER
• The text is normalized — diacritics stripped, hamzas and letters unified
• Fuzzy matching with rapidfuzz against all 6,236 ayahs finds the best partial match

Privacy

• No audio is ever stored — every clip is deleted right after analysis
• Bot logs are disabled; only Telegram's own default metadata applies

Availability and Cost:
Available as a Telegram bot (@rattelappbot) and a web demo, running at near-zero monthly cost — about 99% accuracy on test data and 85–90% in real-world use.
